Managing Variants in Webround
Each variant in Webround keeps track of the current available quantity through warehouses. Since our variants have both no availability, we won't be able to sell those in our store.
If we would set the allow-negative stock property on the variants, we would be able to sell items despite the absence of available units. But in this case, we want to ensure availability before allowing purchases.
Let's create a warehouse first. You can either create multiple warehouses or keep an existing one as a general stock tracking entity. We create a stock warehouse and proceed.
Once we're back to our variants, we can use the Update Stock button to set available quantities. Our recently created warehouse is available for selection, so we click on the yellow checkbox.
We have three different modes: Overwrite, Increase and Decrease. If we choose Increase or Decrease mode, the entered quantity will be added or subtracted to the existing one. If we pick overwrite, we will totally replace the existing quantity with the entered one.
Once we're done, click Save and go back to the other variant to update its availability too.
