Warehouses
The Warehouse entity represents the fundamental logistical unit for the physical management of your inventory. Webround Commerce is designed to be scalable: you can manage everything from a single centralized point or map out a complex network of physical storage locations.
Granular Stock Management
Warehouse logic is extremely flexible and adapts to the size of your business:
- Single Warehouse: Ideal for those managing a single point of sale or a unique depot. All SKU stock is concentrated in one place.
- Multi-Warehouse: If your business has multiple physical locations (e.g., Central Warehouse, Milan Store, Rome Store), you can create an entity for each location. This allows you to know exactly where a product is at any given moment.
Synchronization and Operations
Webround Commerce acts as a bridge between sales and logistics, allowing you to choose the level of automation:
Synchronized Online Sales
If you use Webround for your e-commerce, the system handles everything. Availability tracking of an item is linked to SKUs. When an SKU is sold, if the "Reduce stock after purchase" option is active, the system automatically deducts the quantity from the first available warehouse. If you have also disabled the "Allow negative availability" option, this behavior ensures that you never sell merchandise that you don't actually have in stock.
Unified Inventory Management
If you prefer to use Webround primarily as a Backoffice/Management tool (perhaps for in-person sales or through other channels), you can operate manually or via API. The system allows you to:
- Monitor availability in real time.
- Perform manual stock adjustments (loading/unloading).
- Have a single point of truth for all company stock, eliminating Excel sheets or paper logs.
Why is it "Easy"?
The simplicity of warehouses in Webround lies in the fact that they do not require complex configurations. Once the warehouse is created, it immediately becomes available as a "destination" for your SKU quantities.
Whether you are shipping a package from a logistics warehouse or simply deducting a t-shirt sold in your physical store, the interface remains the same: clean, fast, and data-oriented.
